Frankie Schneider told me that he believes that Wally started driving the same year as himself, 1947. The first two photos here are probably Wally's first ride at Flemington. Wally ended the year as the point standing leader of the new American Stock Car Racing Association (ASCRA) based in Trenton, NJ.
